PDP, Cong leaders from Ramban join BJP

JAMMU, June 15: In a programme held here at party Headquarters in Trikuta Nagar, Jammu, a dozen political activists from the People Democratic Party (PDP) and Congress joined BJP today.
They were welcomed into the party fold by BJP vice-president, Pawan Khajuria, secretary Aseem Gupta, Ramban district spokesperson, Raja Riyaz Ahmed Sohil, Yuva Morcha district president, Gurdeep Singh Chib, and district Minority Morcha president , Mubashir Azad.
Pawan Khajuria, while speaking on the occasion, said that people from across the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir are coming forward to join BJP in large numbers as they have realised that it is not only a political party but a movement that works for the nation and its people and does not indulge in nepotism and corruption. He said that people are also of the view that BJP Government under Prime Minister, Narendra Modi is truly working for the development and welfare of the masses.
He expressed hope that the new entrants will work sincerely to further strengthen BJP in their respective areas.
Aseem Gupta also greeted the new entrants and said that parties like Congress, NC and PDP have lost political ground and are striving hard to come back, which is totally impossible now. Abdul Aziz Bali, PDP Neel block president, Mustaq Ahmed Lohar, Congress Mandal secretary, other senior leaders of Congress, including Javid Ahmed, Bashir Ahmed, Mohmed Rafiq Kumhar, Alifdin Shah, QRT NGO president, Reyaz Ahmed Raso and others, joined BJP.
