PDP district presidents call on Sartaj Madni

JAMMU, Feb 14: District presidents of People’s Democratic Party of various  districts today called on  the party vice president Mohammad Sartaj Madni at PDP  headquarters, Gandhinagar Jammu and discussed several party related issues.
Party general secretary Ved Mahajan was also present on this occasion.
Addressing the district presidents, Madani said that the formation of PDP was the first step towards legitimizing political setup in Jammu and Kashmir, which till than was surrounded with doubts, distrust and uncertainties. “We are happy that present Chief Minister  Mehbooba Mufti is following the footstep of her father and PDP remains committed to the vision and policies of our late leader”, he added.
The vice president said that PDP was  gaining support in Jammu region day by day. He added that in coming days,  PDP will increase the pace of its  works and reach out to every nook and corner of the Jammu in order to fulfill the  dreams of Late Mufti Mohd Sayeed and desires of public, which was expecting from PDP.
Madani said that PDP is  committed to work for political and economic stability of the State and it is the matter of time when the new culture of probity would percolate down to the grass root level and the people will start feeling a difference. “The responsibilities of the present Government led by PDP are much higher as the previous dispensation has done tremendous damages to State’s economy which was coupled by the last year’s devastating deluge,” he said.
Sartaj Madni stressed upon all district presidents to make the party district offices functional and mobilize cadre to propagate the policies of PDP and the coalition Govt at grass root level .
District president Jammu Rajinder Manhas,   district president Kishtwar Sheikh Nasir Hussain, district president Doda Shahab ul Haque, district president Poonch Shamim Dar, district president Rajouri Ajaz Mirza, district president Ramban Bashir Ahmad Rounyal and district president Pulwama Ab  Gani Dar were among those who met the vice president.
Besides party related issues, on going membership of the party and functioning of district units of the party was also discussed.
