JAMMU, Apr 9: People’s Democratic Party (PDP) senior leader R K Pardesi while appealing the people to vote in favour of his party candidates from Kashmir valley including Mehbooba Mufti, Tariq Hamid Qarrah and Muzzafar Hussain Baig highlighted the people’s friendly policies and programmes of the party.
Addressing the corner meetings at various migrant areas today, Mr Pardesi said that NC was indulging in false propaganda against the PDP and its leaders Mufti Mohamed Sayeed and Mehbooba Mufti who ever since formation of the party tried to bridge the gap between the majority community of Valley and migrants who were forced to flee from Kashmir due to wrong policies of NC -Congress coalition in 1987.
He said after formation of Government Mufti Mohammed Sayeed visited migrant camps on Maha Shivratri festival and this process was followed by him during all three years of his Government.
Besides it was PDP leader who during his Government initiated process for construction of TRTs in Valley for rehabilitation of migrants in Kashmir while NC never took an initiative in this regard, he added.
