PDP leaders take stock of flood hit areas

JAMMU, July 16: People’s Democratic Party (PDP) general secretary, Dhaman Bhasin along with other senior leaders Dr Roop Lal Sharma, Chaman Manyal, RS Jamwal, Karan Singh Jamwal, Daljit Manyal and GD Dogra took an intensive tour of Raipur-Domana constituency to take stock of the damages occurred during recent rains.
Kulwant Singh, Sarpanch, Raipur ‘B’ explained the details of damages met with bridge near Usha Mata Temple, Thather where two vehicles were damaged in the flood waves. The Sarpanch disclosed that matter was immediately brought to the notice of the concerned authorities of Public Works Department who have started the repair works of damaged bridge.
While paying visit of the Amb Gharota Road, the team found the worst condition of Manhore nullah, Kot which has been totally blown in the flood and the vehicles have taken a bye pass route.
Bhasin appealed the Public Works authorities to take up immediate repair/restoration of Thather bridge and damaged road at Manhore nullah.
