JAMMU, Oct 27: Even as ruling PDP today named its three new members to the Coordination Committee (CC), the CC meeting scheduled to be held tomorrow after more than a year had to be postponed as new members of the PDP were unable to make it to Srinagar tomorrow.
Deputy Chief Minister, Dr Nirmal Singh, who is Chairman of the CC, told the Excelsior that since the PDP gave names of its new members to serve in the Coordination Committee this evening, the meeting scheduled for 11.30 am tomorrow in Srinagar had to be postponed as the members said they won’t be able to reach the summer capital well in time.
“The meeting now will be held after re-opening of Civil Secretariat in Jammu,” he added.
The PDP has nominated Revenue Minister Abdul Rehman Veeri, party veteran leader and former Deputy Speaker, Sartaj Madni and former Rajya Sabha member Tarlok Singh Bajwa to the Coordination Committee. The BJP had a day before announced its new members for the Panel including Sat Sharma ‘CA’, State president, Jugal Kishore Sharma, Lok Sabha member for Jammu-Poonch seat and Shamsher Singh Manhas, Rajya Sabha member.
