PDP rejects interim delimitation report

SRINAGAR, Feb 5: Rejecting the interim report by the Delimitation Commission circulated among its Associate Members, PDP today said that the “Commission has proved itself to be as a frontal organization of ruling BJP.”
“From media reports regarding interim recommendations of the Commission it was clear that sole objective of the body was to ensure backdoor entry of BJP and its shadow organizations to J&K Legislative Assembly,” an official spokesman of PDP claimed.
He said that PDP has been from the beginning apprehensive of such outcome.
“Even when the basic law, The Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation Act, was under challenge in Supreme Court the Union government hastened to initiate the process in order to give legal backing to its unconstitutional decision to abrogate Article 370,” the Spokesman maintained.
He said that PDP will discuss the report within the Party to chalk out future strategy.
