1st Chaar Sahibzade Hockey Tournament

JAMMU, Dec 25: Defeating their rivals convincingly in the semifinals, Peaks XI and Khalsa Club Gole Gujral have made it into the finals and will take on each other in the summit clash in the ongoing 1st Chaar Sahibzade Hockey Tournament, being organised by Hockey J&K at KK Hakhu Astroturf Stadium, Gulshan Ground, here.
Earlier, in the first semifinal, Peaks XI defeated Champions Club via penalty shootouts by three goals to two (3-0).
In another semifinal, Khalsa Club Gole Gujral defeated AKS Digiana by three goals to nil (3-0). Gagandeep scored 2 goals in 19th and 50th minute, while another goal was scored by Manpreet Singh in 39th minute.
The final will be played tomorrow at 2 pm at the same venue.
Sr Journalist Pramod Jamwal was the chief guest in the first match, while Mohinder Singh was the guest of honour.
Rakesh Gupta, President Chamber of Commerce was the chief guest in the second match, while Sobat Ali, Corporator (JMC) was the guest of honour.
The matches were officiated by Joginder Singh, Balmeet Singh, Gurpreet Singh, Ranjit Singh, Karanjit Singh, Hardeep Singh, RP Singh Sama and Jaspreet Singh.
Harmanan Singh is the Organising Secretary, while GS Bakshi is the Coordinator and Avtar Singh Khalsa is the Chairman of the Tournament.
