UDHAMPUR, Jan 30: Ped-dlers displayed extraordinary skill and showed promise on day-2 of Devinder Memorial (Munna Thanda) Open Table Tennis Championship, being organized by District Udhampur Table Tennis Association, under the aegis of J&K Table Tennis Association at multipurpose hall of Govt Degree College, here.
The Championship is being organized under the close supervision of Sunil Sharma, president of the Association, Sanjay Sharma, sr vice president, Kumar Tarun, vice president, Ankit Sharma, joint secretary and Sunny Sharma, executive member.
In sub-junior boys quarterfinals, Mahi Kailu beat Gourav Jamwal by 2-0, while Anurag Jamwal beat Nanav Verma by 2-1, while in junior boys, Sudansh Verma defeated Kartik Mahajan by 2-0 and Abhay Gupta trounced Shivankar Sharma by 2-1.
In senior girls, Purvi drubbed Akriti by 2-1 in semifinal to enter into the final, while Parul beat Monika by 2-0 in another semifinal.
The matches were officiated by Rajat Khajuria, Akhil Bandral and Prikshit Khajuria.
