Pedestrian held with illicit liquor

JAMMU, May 24: Pouni-Chack police arrested a pedestrian along with 53 pouches of illicit liquor from Bhadrod area.
A police spokesman said that, police party from Pouni-Chack police post laid a naka at Bhadrod and intercepted a pedestrian on suspicious grounds.
During checking, police recovered 53 pouches of illicit liquor from his possession and arrested him on the spot.
The accused has been identified as Raju Singh, son of Kaka Singh of Gho-Manhasa.
A case under FIR number 163/15 under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered at police post Pouni-Chack and investigation started.
Police team led by Incharge police post Pouni-Chack SI Gurvinder Singh made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Domana police station Inspector Rajinder Sharma and SP Rural Rajiv Pandey.
