JAMMU, July 25: A man was killed today in a road accident in Kaluchak area of city outskirts.
“Mahesh Dass (35) son of Natha, resident of Uttar Pradesh and presently residing at SIDCO, Bari Brahmana, was on his way to home on foot when a speeding a truck bearing registration number JK02AT-5337 hit him this evening at Kaluchak, resulting into his on the spot death”, a police official said.
He said the dead body of the deceased was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu for postmortem to be conducted tomorrow while a case was registered at police station Gangyal and investigations started.
“The accused truck driver has been arrested and his vehicle seized”, he further added.
