SRINAGAR, Jan 4: Open South Kashmir Pencak Silat Championship organized by Police District Awantipora in collaboration with Pencak Silat Association of Jammu and Kashmir commenced at Government Degree College Pampore.
SSP Awantipora Mohd Yousif accompanied by Principal Government Degree College Pampore inaugurated the Championship. Around 300 participants of different age groups of South Kashmir Range are participating in the championship.
During the inaugural ceremony, SSP Awantipora along with Principal Government Degree College Pampore interacted with the participating players and assured the participants that every kind of assistance will be provided by District Police Awantipora to boost the sports activities in Police District Awantipora.
The championship is aimed to developing better police public relation and is held under Civic Action Programme of Jammu and Kashmir Police.
The event was also attended by SDPO Pampore, DySP DAR Awantipora, SHO Pampore, Organizing Secretary, President Pencak Silat Association of Jammu and Kashmir and other officers from Police District Awantipora.
