SRINAGAR, July 24: J&K Sports Council in collaboration with Indian Pencak Silat Federation under the aegis of Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports / Sports Authority of India selected the Indian contingent to represent India in 19th World Pencak Silat Championship-2022.
The World Championship is scheduled to be held at Melaka, Malaysia from July 26 to 31.
About 36 probable from 14 different States/ Union Territories including Ravees Ahmad, who is the coach for J&K Police Central team in Pencak Silat was selected for the World Championship after the coaching camp, held at Indoor Sports Hall Polo Ground from July 1 to 23.
Coaches from J&K, Haryana and Delhi imparted rigorously training to the athletes (Male & Female) to achieve desired results in the forthcoming world championship.
