SRINAGAR, Apr 4: State Pensioners and Civil Society held a convention at Ganderbal , today under the chairmanship of its president, Mir Ghulam Rasool Butwani a veteran trade union leader of the State in which the problems of State pensioners were discussed in detail.
The issues which came for discussion included hike in medic al Allowance from Rs 300 to Rs 1000 on the pattern of Central Government, mediclaim be brought under the health insurance Scheme, Government Order number 22 of 2018 be implemented in letter and spirit and pensioners cases be settled without further delay, pensioners be given benefit of SRO 59 of 1990 so that they do not face any more harassment on this account. Sheikh Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din Shilvati, Abdul Ahad Rather, Noor Mohammed, Sheikh Ghulam Mohammed Raina and others addressed the convention.
