MENDHAR, July 24: Senior National Conference leader and former Deputy Chairman, Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Council, Javed Rana today asked the local administration to reciprocate the cooperation it has received from the general public of Mendhar Sub-Division.
In a press release, the senior leader said, ever since this pandemic started, the district as well as local administration have tremendous amount of work to contain the spread of this deadly virus. “We have been appreciating their efforts from time to time,” he said.
Rana further said that he was shocked to know that the administration had directed the concerned authorities to lodge an FIR against some persons who were highlighting the problem faced by them at the quarantine centre. “Administration should acknowledge their efforts rather than making them culprit for highlighting problems. Such incidents surely create a gap between the administration and the public,” Rana added.
He demanded immediate withdrawal of FIR and timely action of the administration to improve the facilities which are being provided to the people at the quarantine centre.
Rana said this a time to walk shoulder to shoulder so that we are able to save ourselves, rather than creating hindrance in each other’s work.
Ex-MLA also demanded better facilities at BG registration point, where people have to stand in queue and wait for 2-3 hours to get themselves registered.
