People living in Majalta bereft of basic facilities: Pathania

JAMMU, Sept 1: People living in Majalta are bereft of basic facilities including drinking water, electricity, road connectivity, health care, animal-care, recreational, educational and other facilities.
This was stated by RS Pathania, general secretary, J&K Pradesh Youth Congress, while addressing monthly meeting of Congress workers at Majalta.
He said that Majalta is now scientifically-acknowledged as “Pandavas” land and has vast potential for pilgrimage tourism, educational tourism and aesthetic tourism also and demanded special package for the same.
Pathania said that Centrally-sponsored schemes are not delivering benefits on ground and there are inherent handicaps and discrepancies in the planning as well execution part of these schemes.
Pathania sought Sub-District Hospital for Majalta, accidental hospital at Manwal, Health sub-Centers at Chor Panjian, Pathwar, Neeli, Parla Sundla, Tajoor and Chani, fulfilling the shortage of staff and infrastructure in HS Garh-Dhama, MS Garh Pamasta, MS Peuni, HS Kakrai, HSS Thail and HSS Khoon and other schools of the area.
Among others present were Uttam Singh, Dr BD Gupta, Ved Pal, Kuldip Singh, Dr Pardip Sharma, Om Parkash, Makhan lal, Sanju, Rattan Singh, Mohan Lal, etc.
