KATHUA, Dec 18: The inmates of village Talli near Dayalachak continued dharna for the second consecutive day today in protest against the failure of the Government to commission the tube well which has already been constructed in the village.
The protest which was led by local sarpanch was held in protest against the failure of PHE authorities to supply the water to the area from the new tube well which has been constructed in the area for the purpose.
The protestors said to overcome the water scarcity in the area the Government constructed a tube well on which the work was started in 2011 and which was completed early this year. But till date the tube well was not completed with the result the water scarcity problem has not ended.
The protestors warned to intensify agitation in case the authorities fail to take appropriate steps in making the tube well functional.
