RAJOURI, Feb 24: A large number of people from Samote area held protest and blocked Rajouri-Budhal road for about three hours.
The people from area alleged that road widening work was going on while one local was now allowing machines of contractor to execute work. The people alleged that administration was not taking cognizance of the matter. Later, SHO Budhal and Tehsildar Kotranka, Israr Mir reached there and assured the people to take action in this regard. The people then lifted dharna. The Tehsildar said that public road work can not be stopped on the opposition of just one family. They will be provided compensation, he said.
