RAJOURI, Apr 2: The people from Panjgrain village and adjoining areas today held protest demonstration and blocked Jammu-Poonch road  at Manjakote demanding immediate arrest of all the accused persons involved in the kidnapping of a young woman of the area.
The agitating relatives and family members of woman, alleged that she was kidnapped by one Abdul Rehman with the help of local Naib Sarpanch and local PDP leader Zakir Iqbal and another man from the same village-Panjgrain four days back. They raised slogans against Rajouri police and local MLA Qamar Choudhary for shielding culprits. They warned the police authorities to recover woman and arrest all the accused otherwise, they would stage massive protest demonstration at district police headquarters on Monday.  They also demanded that case which was transferred to Rajouri from Manjakote with the intervention of senior police officer be restored back to Manjakote Police Station.
Later, SDPO Manjakote reached there and he assured  the agitating people that woman will be recovered shortly and prime accused will also be nabbed. The police said that Naib Sarpanch Zakir who is also local PDP leader and another associate of Abdul Rehman have been detained in this connection. Rehman is father of four children while woman is also mother of five. Her husband is working in Saudi Arabia. The police is investigating into the matter.
