JAMMU, Sept 13: The residents of Mahtabpur and its adjoining areas held a protest demonstration against the Government for its failure in constructing of road from village Mahtabpur to Dole Khud on Hatli road. Scores of people supported by Rashtriya Janata Dal , president, Manohar Dogra, MK Bhandari, Rajesh Kumar, Deepak Chander assembled at Mahtabpur and raised a strong protest against the Government.
They were raising the slogans against Government and constructing agency. While addressing Manohar Dogra said that the three kilometer long road from Mahtabpur to Dole Khud is in worst condition. It is not easy for a pedestrian to walk on the road and driving of vehicles is also not possible on it. The authorities of constructing Agency have executed work of the road from Hatli Morh to Mahtabpur but next three kilometer stretch is left untouched. No one from the Government takes pains to construct the road. The local people are suffering a lot and facing problems. They warned the Government to take immediate step to construct the left out portion of the road.
