UDHAMPUR, July 7: Aggrieved over frequent power cuts and low voltage, people of Jakheni today held a strong protest against Power Development Department.
The protesting people raised slogans against the PDD and also staged a dharna on the road. They said that because of heavy curtailment, people were facing problems and despite repeated requests to the concerned authorities, nothing was done for smooth power supply.
The protest was joined by Syed Peer Gulzar Shah, Barakt Ali, Saleem Chisti, Shoket Ali Khan, Dalbir Singh, Parveen Kumar, Liaquat Ali, Jhon Wilson, Naseeb Singh and others.
