JAMMU, June 9: The residents of New Plot held protest and blocked the vehicular movement on the Ambphalla-Janipur road.
Amid slogans against Public Health Engineering (PHE) Department, large number of people including women assembled near Ambphalla Chowk and blocked the vehicular movement.
During protest, long queues of vehicles were witnessed on the Ambphalla-Janipur road.
The protestors alleged that there was no water supply in their area for the past around one week, due to which they are facing manifold problems to carry out their day to day activities.
After getting information, police team led by SHO Pacca Danga SI Dheeraj Nagpal rushed to the spot and pacified the protesting people by assuring them to take up the issue with the concerned authorities.
On the assurance, the protestors dispersed and vehicular movement was restored.
