Petition against Rahul’s controvsersial remark accepted

SULTANPUR :  A local court today accepted a petition filed against the controversial remark of Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi regarding the Pakistan’s ISI attempt to approach some youths of riot-hit Muzaffarnagar district in Uttar Pradesh.
The petition was filed by Mohammad Anwar, the former general secretary of National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) — the student wing of the Indian National Congress party — in the subordinate court on October 26.
Chief Judicial Magistrate had yesterday shifted the case to Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate court.
The ACJM accepted the petition, challenging the statement of  Mr Gandhi, and fixed the next hearing for November 18.
A few days ago, Mr Gandhi had in an election meeting in  Indore, alleged that Pakistan’s ISI was in touch with some Muslim youth victims of riot-hit Muzaffarnagar district. (AGENCIES)
