JAMMU, Oct 17: PG Arts, GCET Jammu and GDC Udhampur registered wins over their rivals in the ongoing Inter-Collegiate Football Tournament, here today.
PG Arts defeated GDC Udhampur by 3-0. From PG Arts, the 1st and 2nd goal scored by Ankush in 36th and 42nd minutes, while the 3rd goal was scored by Aquil in 69th minute.
In another match, GCET Jammu beat MIET, Jammu by (6-5) via tie-breaker. From GCET, Azan, Devesh, Aniket, Pranav and Ashiq netted the goals, while from MIET the goals were scored by Deeraj, Nadeem, Asim and Aftaq.
In yet another match, GDC Hiranagar beat MBS College by (3-2) via tie-breaker.
Arun, Ridham and Sourav scored the goals from GDC Hiranagar, while from MBS College Laeshit and Udhary pelted the goals.
The matches were officiated by Suresh Gupta, Dheeraj, Rahul Sharma, Rahul Ghai, Dil Bahadur, Ajay Singh and Gagan Kumar.
Today’s matches were witnessed by Dr Brij Baloria, Vikram Jamwal, Shashi Kumar, Balbir Chib, Shekhar Raina and Sanjeev Sharma.
Meanwhile, in Inter-Collegiate Volleyball (M) Tournament 2019-20 organized by the Directorate of Sports & Physical Education, University of Jammu at University Volleyball court, GDC Poonch beat GDC, Khour by (2-1) ), GDC Katua defeated GDC Bhaderwah by (2-0) ) and GDC Banihal trounced GDC Hiranagar by (2-0) ).
The matches were officiated by a technical panel of VFI Qualified Referees including Amit Sharma, Amarjit Singh, Mulkh Raj, Manik Nargotra and Shubham Sharma.
The Tournament 2019-20 was organized under the supervision of Dr. Daud Iqbal Baba, Director, Directorate of Sports & Physical Education, University of Jammu.
