JAMMU, Sept 23: PG Department lifted title trophies in Inter-Collegiate Badminton Tournament in Men and Women section, which was organized by Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu at Gymnasium Hall of the Varsity here today.
Prof Avtar Singh Jasrotia, Director, Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu distributed prizes among the winners and encouraged the runners-up team for their performance.
Among other present were Ramesh Magotra, Vinay Manhas, Gagan Kumar, Vikas Karlopia, Prof Rakesh K Gupta from GDC Udhampur.
In women section, PG Department beat GCW Gandhinagar by 2-0 in the summit clash, whereas in men section, PG Department registered win over GDC Udhampur by 3-1.
The matches were officiated by Ravish Vaid, Vikram Jamwal, Taranpal Singh, Amit Sharma, Rakesh Kumar and Manmohan.
The tournament was organized under the supervision of Prof Avtar Singh Jasrotia, Director, Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu.
