PG Deptt lifts Inter-Collegiate Men’s Volleyball title

KATHUA, Jan 24: Defeating Government Degree College (GDC) Hiranagar in straight sets in the summit clash, PG Department, University of Jammu lifted the title trophy of the Inter-Collegiate Men’s Volleyball Tournament, organized by GDC Kathua in its College ground, here.
The final score remained (25:21, 25:17, 25:19) in favour of the winners.
Ch Lal Singh was the chief guest on the occasion, who congratulated the teams for their achievement, while Director, Department of Physical Education University of Jammu, Prof Dhian Singh Bhau was the guest of honour on the occasion.
Earlier, Principal of the College Dr Nater Singh presented welcome address.
31 teams from various colleges of Jammu province participated in the event.
The tournament was organized under the guidance of Dr Balbinder Singh, Physical Director, GDC Kathua, while Mulkh Raj Sharma , Roshan Sharma, Balwinder Singh Jamwal, Sanjeev Singh, Yog Raj Sharma, Mohinder Sharma, Madan Lal, Mandeep Singh and Pankaj Sapolia officiated the matches.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Toofan Sharma, Sardar Khan, Prof Gopal Sharma, Dr Sangeeta, Dr Anita Kiran, Dr Sujata Slathia, Dr Janak Singh Andotra, Prof PK Rao, Dr Avinash Gupta, Prof Sumanesh , Prof Jasvinder Singh, Prof Shub Kumar, Prof Sunil Dutt and Prof Devinder Kumar Sharma.
