JAMMU, Oct 31: PG Department and Government College for Women (GCW), Gandhi Nagar entered into the finals of the on-going Inter-Collegiate Volleyball (Women) Tournament 2013-14, organized by the Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu at University Sports Stadium, here.
The two teams will face each other in the summit clash at 2 pm at the same venue tomorrow.
Earlier, in the first semifinal, PG Department outplayed Govt Degree College Hiranagar by (3-1) with set scores (25-17, 25-19, 2025, 25-23) and sealed berth in the finals.
In the second semifinal, Government College for Women Gandhi Nagar got better of SPMR College of Commerce by 3-0 with set scores (25-12, 25-7, 25-16), to make way for the finals.
The matches were conducted under the supervision of Director, Directorate of Sports and Physical Education. Prof Dhian S Bhau,
Prominent among others present on the occasion were BK Magotra, HS Chib, Sanjeev Jamwal, Nisha Sharma, Raj Kumar Bakshi, Vikas Karlopia, Ravish Vaid, Gagan Kumar and Jai Bharat.
The matches were officiated by Mulkh Raj, Ajay Sharma, Amit Sharma and Jeevan.
