Inter-Collegiate Tournaments

JAMMU, Oct 12: Inter Collegiate Tournaments, being organized by Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu were played at University Sports Stadium, here today.
PG Department will take on GCW Parade in the final of the ongoing Inter-Collegiate Volleyball Tournament for women tomorrow. Earlier, in the first semifinal, GCW Parade outplayed GDC Poonch by straight 3-0 sets, whereas in the second semis, PG Department outplayed the defending champions GCW Gandhi Nagar by straight 3-0 sets.
Prof Avtar Singh Jasrotia Director, Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu was the chief guest and witnessed both the semifinals in the presence of Kuldeep Magotra, Prof Kamaljeet Singh, Sudesh Bhagat, Dr Vinod Bakshi, Suman Lata, Jai Bharat, Raj Kumar Bakshi, Ravish Vaid, Akbar Ali and Vikas Karlopia.
The matches were officiated by Romesh Singh Jasrotia, Amit Sharma, Naresh Kumar and Mulkh Raj.
Meanwhile, GWC Gandhi Nagar will clash with PG Department in the summit clash of the Inter Collegiate Kabbadi Tournament for women.
Earlier, in the first semis, GWC Gandhi Nagar beat GCW Udhampur by 42 points, whereas on the second semifinal, PG Department registered win over GDC Kathua by 11 points.
The matches were officiated by Dheeraj Sharma, Keshav, Manpreet, Amandeep, Rohit and Gagan Kumar.
