PG Law enters finals; PG Arts makes it to semis

JAMMU, Jan 28: Defeating their rivals in their respective matches, PG Law and Sciences and PG Arts of University of Jammu have made it to finals and semifinals of the ongoing Inter-Collegiate Cricket Tournament respectively.
Earlier, in the semifinals, PG Law and Sciences defeated Government Degree College (GDC) Mendhar by 6 wickets in an easy contest. Batting first, GDC Mendhar scored a modest total of 115 runs in the stipulated 20 overs, losing 8 wickets in the process. Agraz (25), Raja Khan (19) and Sadam (17) were the main scorers. For PG Law, Rahul Jamwal, Himanshu, Gokul and Rahul Bandral took 1 wicket each.
PG Law, in reply chased the target easily in 11.3 overs by losing 4 wickets to win the match by 6 wickets. Mohit and Sharoz contributed 25 runs each, while Himanshu and Sanjeev scored 24 and 15 runs respectively. Imran Marof and Sadam Khan claimed 2 wickets each for GDC Mendhar.
In another match, PG Arts outplayed MAM College by 4 wickets in a close contest. Batting first, MAM College scored a decent total of 154 runs in 20 overs. Paras Sharma was the top scorer with 49 runs, while Tushar Chib and Sohil Sudan contributed 25 and 18 runs to the total respectively. For PG Arts, Dilawar Singh, Sukhwinder Singh and Chander Kiran bagged 2 wickets each, while Sajad Ali claimed one wicket.
PG Arts, in reply chased the required target in 19.2 overs by losing 6 wickets, thus won the match by 4 wickets. Taqdir Singh was the top scorer with 45 runs, while Sunil Sharma and Sajid Malik contributed 31 and 29 runs to the total respectively. Sukhwinder Singh also chipped in with 15 runs. For MAM College, Abhimanyu and Sajad Sujkat bagged 2 wickets each, while Sahil claimed one wicket.
