POONCH, Oct 12: Power House Club (PHC) defeated Stadium Senior Club by four goals to two (4-2) in the senior women category of the Poonch District Women Hockey Championship, being organized by Hockey Poonch, under the aegis of Hockey J&K at Sports Stadium, here today.
Manpreet Kour was the star performer for Power House Club, who scored 2 brilliant goals in 4th and 43rd minute of the match, while Ishita and Meenakshi netted other two goals in 31st and 63rd minutes respectively. For Stadium Senior, it was Urvashi who scored both the goals in 13th and 19th minute. Finally, Power House Club won by (4-2) goals.
The matches were officiated by Tanuj Kumar and Sohail Azeem, while NIS hockey coach, Mukesh Kumar and PEM Rajinder Singh Toofan were the table referees.
Bayant Kour, Ex Councilor Poonch was the chief guest on the occasion, while Narinder Suri, Chief Planning Officer Poonch was the guest of honour.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Sarla Devi, Narjeet Singh and Manjeet Sharma, Pradhan SD Sabha Poonch.
The Tournament is being held under the overall supervision of Sham Lal Sharma, SAI hockey coach and vice president Hockey J&K.
