JAMMU, May 1: A meeting of executive members of PHE Drivers-Cleaners Union was held here today under the chairmanship of Kulwant Singh, Chairman of the Union, to discuss their demands and problems being faced by the drivers, cleaners and workers of the department.
The main demands highlighted in the meeting were regularization of daily rated, CP and need based workers working in the department before or after 1994, revoking of Government Circular No 09 of March 26, 2013 and holding of auction of old or junk vehicles and purchase of new vehicles for smooth drinking water supply.
General secretary of the Union, Kartar Chand Dubey stressed upon the higher ups of the department to concede the burning issues without any further delay to avoid any type of confrontation.
Joginder Singh, Mohan Singh, Naresh Kumar, Davinder Singh, Inderjeet Singh and many others spoke on the occasion.
