PHE employees hold protest demonstration

UDHAMPUR, Mar 4: In protest against non-compliance of instructions issued by the Minister for PHE, I&FC Department, regarding transfer of Class IV employees, the PHE Employees Association held strong demonstration at PHE Complex here under the chairmanship of Som Nath, district INTUC president and provincial senior vice president of the association today.
The employees and workers from all the corners of the district including from Kud, Patnitop, Chenani, Jaganoo, Ramnagar, Mansar,  Majalta, Krimchi, Jib-Thati, Panchari and other areas participated in the protest demonstration and condemned the attitude of the concerned authorities and demanded implementation of transfer orders immediately as SE has already empowered the Executive Engineer for the same.
Demanding that orders be issued immediately the association warned indefinite protest from tomorrow.
Other demands highlighted on the occasion pertained to release of 13 months pending wages of workers, issuance of gum boots and charcoal which have not been issued since last winter, repair and maintenance of quarters, clearance of pending in-situ promotion cases etc.
Som Nath appealed the Government to concede all the long pending genuine demands of the employees and workers and asked the officers not to harass workers.
Others who addressed included Vijay Kumar, Rattan Singh, Baldev Raj, Suraj Parkash, Subash Chander, Jagdish Magotra, Shiv Lal, Makhan Chand, Janait Ali, Luxman Singh, Ganesh etc.
