UDHAMPUR, Mar 2: Water Works PHE Employees Association held a meeting under the chairmanship of its senior Vice President of PHE Employees Association Jammu Province.
While speaking, Som Nath said that the Government in not paying heeds towards the genuine demands of the PHE employees. The workers are sincerely working in the department, but the Government failed to pay their wages, which are pending for the past 46 months, he stated.
“Our families are at the verge of starvation and our children are not going home as we can’t pay their fees”, he added.
Som Nath demanded release of pending wages of 46 months, equal allotment of all type of workers, implementation of Minimum Wages Act, biometric benefits to imprest and estimate workers, engage new employees to keep many schemes operational and change of designation.
He appealed to the Government to redress the issues on priority basis.
