JAMMU, June 3: All J&K ITI Trained, CP and Land Donor Workers’ Association of PHE Department today highlighted the demands of the employees like release of pending wages and regularization of their services.
In a meeting of the association, the speakers said that for last over 20 years ITI Trained, CP and Land Donor workers have been serving in the department but due to callousness of all successive Governments and bureaucrats at the helm of affairs, they have been facing various difficulties and financial hardships.
The speakers said that they were engaged from time to time, during last over two decades, by the department for smooth functioning and regular supply of drinking water to the public at large in the entire State and they served the department with dedication but all the successive Governments played with their lives and career by not considering their genuine demands of regularization of their services and releasing their wages timely.
“Our repeated representations and verbal requests yielded no positive results and we were deliberately left in a state of helplessness because of non-payment of our pending earned wages for about 55 months,” they added and urged the higher authorities of the department to release their pending wages and regularize their services.
