JAMMU, Aug 4: The PHE Workers Welfare Association has warned to revive the suspended agitation as the Government has failed to honour its commitment made with the employees leaders.
Talking to media-persons here today, Subash Verma, general secretary of PHE Workers Welfare Association said that one month time was given by the Government to resolve the main issues of daily rated, casual, need base and CP workers but the minister concerned and the State Government has miserably failed to resolve the pending demands of the employees. He alleged that Government has lost its credibility and trust as the workers were left high and dry always.
He said the daily rated workers are demanding their regular wages and regularization but the Government even after commitment has failed to provide them relief. Mr Verma alleged that State Finance Minister A R Rather was the main hurdle in resolution of these issues. He termed NC led Government as anti-employee.
Mr Verma said that in view of attitude of the Government, the Association has decided to call an emergency meeting of all the district units on August 6 to discuss next course of action and to revive agitation.
Rattan Doshi and Surjit Singh also spoke on the occasion.
