BATOTE, Aug 22: Central Bureau of Communication (CBC), Union Ministry of Information and Broadcasting here today organized 5th Integrated Communication and Outreach Programme in which a two day Photo Exhibition commenced under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav (AKAM) at Government Model Higher Secondary School Batote.
The programme was inaugurated by Vijay Kumar Sharma, Executive Magistrate Batote and the students were informed about freedom fighters of North India especially those from J&K who fought for the freedom of India.
In his address, Vijay Kumar Sharma appreciated the initiative of CBC J&K to organize such an informative programme for the students related to the freedom struggle of India.
Chief Planning Officer Ramban, Kasturi Lal who was chief guest on the occasion said that such kind of exhibition under AKAM is very informative especially for the student community who can spread this information to different corners of the society.
Welcoming the guests Ghulam Abbas, Joint Director, Central Bureau of Communication, J&K, Ladakh region apprised the audience about the mandate of the Central Bureau of Communication and also informed them about the structure and functioning of CBC.
Principal GMHSS Batote, Dev Raj stressed upon the need for organizing more such awareness programmes.
CDPO Ramban, Ravinder Kour besides others also spoke on the occasion.
