Physically challenged skater sparkles in National C’ship

JAMMU, Nov 8: Physically challenged roller skater of Jammu and Kashmir, Chandeep Singh has done unthinkable by bagging bronze medal in the 7th All India Roller Skating Championship held at Mussoorie in Uttrakhand recently.
Apart from winning bronze medal in this prestigious event, the young boy who enjoys each and every moment of the game, has many achievements under his belt at this tender age. For being handicapped an additional trophy was awarded to Chandeep for participating in the aforementioned championship to boost his moral. He has also received gold medal from Sahyog India for skating skills in the month of August, 2012.
His attitude and aptitude, his parent’s bravery and the backing of J&K Roller Skating Association is worth salutation.
Chandeep, son of Surinder Singh and resident of Guru Teg Bahadur Nagar, Channi Rama, Jammu is a ninth class student of Banyan International School, Jeevan Nagar, Jammu who had to face amputation of both his arms, due to electric shock, seeks help from donors.
