POONCH, Dec 6: Pinto Club will take on Shaheed Manjeet Singh Club in summit clash of the ongoing Shaheed Manjeet Singh Memorial Volleyball Tournament being organised by District Police at Sports Stadium tomorrow.
Earlier, in the first semifinal, Pinto Club registered 2-1 sets victory over Surankote Club. The first set was clinched by Surankote Club by 30-25 points, while Pinto Club proved their mettle and won the second set by 25-22 points. In the decider set, Pinto Club thrashed Surankote Club by 25-21 points and registered their name for the title clash.
In the second semifinal, Shaheed Manjeet Singh Club registered straight 3-0 sets victory over 17 JAK and the score remained 25-12, 25-16 and 25-14 points.
SP Shamsheer Hussain presided over the semifinal matches and later congratulated the winners.
It is to mention that, this tournament is an annual feature organized by the District Police Poonch in memory of the Police martyr DySP Manjeet Singh who had sacrificed his life for the cause of the nation in the year 2003 at Bus Stand Poonch.
