BANIHAL, Sept 25: Pir Panchal Inter District Wrestling League 2017, organized by Army concluded at Government Higher Secondary school Ramban, near here.
Padam Shri Yogeshwar dutt was the special guest don the occasion.
Seven team from the six district of Jammu region participated which were Red Devil Ramban, Rajourian Ranchos, Poonch Panthers, Kishtwar Warriors, Daring Dodians, Naushera Nnajas and Reasi Rhiorts.
The wining team and runners-up team was awarded with trophies, while all the winners and runners-up players were awarded with gold and silver medals respectively.
The highlight of the event has traditional dangle between Pehalwan Ajay Sharma and Mohd. Sadiq. This match was the climax of the championship as it carried a cash price of Rs 25,000.
Olympic silver medallist Yogeshwar Dutt expressed his gratitude to the Indian Army for conducting this mega event.
The India Army assured the youth to conduct more sporting events in the future. The event culminated with the prize distribution.
