PK gives clarion call to Pandits to join homeland movement

JAMMU, Oct 7: The one day long political meet cum workshop organised by Panun Kashmir here today concluded with a clarion call to all community members to join the homeland movement and overall resurgence of the community.
The meet cum workshop was held to take stock of the emerging political scenario, the problems faced by the Kashmiri Pandit community in the camps and rented accommodations.
The programme was chalked out to rededicate the organization to the community goal of homeland within Kashmir valley in accordance with the Margdarshan resolution of 1991.
The speakers were of the view that the homeland was the only way out to fulfill the aspirations of Kashmiri Hindus hounded out from Valley by the militants and their over ground supporters in 1989-90.
They said the PK is committed to the homeland and they will not budge an inch from their demand and the ongoing struggle will be taken to its logical conclusion. They said in view of the resurfacing of terrorism in Kashmir and threats given to Sarpnahs, Panchs and other nationalist elements there can be no compromise with the forces inimical to national cause. The resurgence of militancy and separatism has also vindicated the stand of PK on homeland to which it is committed, they added.
During the two sessions of the programme all the issues confronting the community were discussed in detail and a blue print was also evolved to link every member of the community besides the PK activists with homeland movement.
Addressing the  gathering PK chairman, Dr Ajay Chrungoo urged the activists, core group members to work in a comprehensive manner with the utilization of all support structure to create a sense of resurgence in the community to reclaim our homeland.
Those who participated in the deliberations included O N Trisal senior KP leader, Kuldeep Riana, general secretary PK, P L Raina, Chand Ji Pandita, Sanjay Raina and Ravi Ji Zutshi.
