JAMMU, Oct 23: Dramaturgy Group from Bundelkhand, Uttar Pradesh today staged the play ‘Main Bhi Maa Ban Gaya’.
Being the 13th presentation of the ongoing Rangleela Natya Utsav by ‘Lakshya-The Aim’ and co-powered by Nutan Prayas Manch, the play ‘Main Bhi Maa Ban Gaya’ is written by Sunil Raj and directed by Pardeep Bajpai.
The play is the story woven around a middle class family in the rural area of Bundelkhand.
The patriarch of the family presuming that his daughter-in-law would bear a son writes his will in the name of his grandson instead of his son Ghanshyam.
However, Ghanshyam gets frustrated when his wife bears two daughters and longs for a son so much so that one fine evening he finds himself pregnant with a son.
Thus ‘Main Bhi Maan Ban Gaya’ keeps the audience on tenterhooks and leaves guessing what’s unfolding next.
The artists who acted in the play were Ranu Sharma, Aarti Rawat, Sathendra Yadav, Shehla Khan, Abhishek Singh while Veer Yadav, Devang Pratap Singh, Vinod, Ajay Mistry, Ritu Jha, Anjali Sinha, Anjali Tirupura and Shikhar Mishra were the supporting characters.
