Players hold protest against Sports Council

UDHAMPUR, Jan 11: Table Tennis Academy players along with the other sportspersons today held protest demonstration against J&K State Sports Council.
The protestors assembled outside Subash Stadium here and raised slogans against J&K State Sports Council. They demanded immediate completion of renovation work at Subash Stadium.
Talking to media persons, a sportsperson Tarun said that in this district, Subash Stadium is catering to the needs of thousands of players.
He said that the renovation work was initiated few years back and was later stopped, due to the reason best known to the higher authorities of J&K State Sports Council.
He added that due to stopping of the renovation work, the sports persons are facing manifold problems and could not practice their games.
The protestors demanded immediate completion of renovation work of the Subash Stadium, so that the sportspersons can practice their games.
They warned to intensify their protest, if their demand is not redressed at the earliest.
Among others present were Ankit, Sunny, Vikrant, Nipun, Kanav, Rajesh, Anish, Akhil, Paras, Prikshit, Baldev, etc.
