JAMMU, Jan 4: Players displayed extraordinary skill and showed composure and promise in the Inter Zone Sports Meet, being organised by Jammu and Kashmir Police at various venues here.
In Wushu Women, the gold medal winners included Morup Dolma, Kanya Kumari, Jigmat Youdan, Sadiqa Bano, Zareena, Inderjit Kour, Seema Devi and Salma Bano (All of Training Zone except Salma Bano).
The gold medal winners in Wushu Men included Shahnawaz Ahmed of Training Zone, Umar Gani of Kashmir Zone, Vicky Singh of Armed, Mohd Aaqib Mir of Kashmir, Abdul Rashid of Training, Ishfaq Malik of Kashmir, Mohd Ashfaq of Training, Anil Pandita of Armed, Gulshan Singh of Armed and Mohd Amin of Training Zone.
In Weightlifting, the gold medals went to Ravi Shanker of Jammu Zone, Ankeshwar Nath of SDRF, Daleep Singh of Armed, Mohd Shakoor of Armed, Arun Sharma of INTELSECT, Hamam Hussain of Training, Anil Kumar of Armed, Rajesh Kumar of Armed, Mahinder Singh of Training and Daljeet Singh of Armed.
In Volleyball Women, Training Zone defeated Armed Zone by (2-0) Sets to win the title, while in Volleyball Men, Armed Zone drubbed Training Zone by (3-0) Sets to win the title.
In Handball Women, Training Zone defeated Armed Zone by (13-01) in the summit clash to lift the title.
In Basketball Men, Armed Zone drubbed Training Zone by (82-44) to claim the title, while in Basketball Women, Training Zone got the better of Jammu Zone by (28-14) to win the title.
In Hockey Men, Armed Zone beat Jammu Zone by (2-1) goals to win the final, while in Football Men summit clash, Jammu Zone trounced SDRF to win the title and in Football Women, Training Zone beat Armed Zone by (3-0) to win the title.
In Kabaddi Women final, Armed Zone drubbed Training Zone to win the final.
