Plus 2 Lecturers demand benefits of running grade

JAMMU, July 13: The central executive body of All J&K Plus 2 Lecturers’ Forum was held here today under the chairmanship of its president Kiranjeet Kour for reviewing the overall scenario in the Education Department
In the day-long session, attended by district presidents of Jammu region, Central leadership and core members, members highlighted the core issues and strongly advocated for the “Benefits of Running Grade”.
The house also highlighted that in the absence of effective transfer policy, few members in recent transfer orders are aggrieved. The functioning of BOSE was also discussed especially its discriminatory attitude towards Plus 2 cadre.
The other issues taken up, included reorganization of Department, non-vocational states for Principals, regularization of in charge incumbents, revival of 40 percent college quota, discrepancy of similarly placed physical lecturers in lower pay scales etc.
As a part of expansion of organization for better participation and performance, central executive body nominated councils and advisory council.
Those who spoke on the occasion, include Charan Dass, N S  Jamwal, Anil Sharma, Sanjay Bhagat,  Pardeep Singh, Jyoti Prakash, N A  Malik, Talib Hussain, Dr  Sushma, Jatinder Sethi, Tarsaim Singh, Renu Sharma, Iffat Shah and others.
