UDHAMPUR, Jan 13: The District Udhampur unit of All J&K Plus 2 Lecturers’ Forum, held the monthly meeting here today and discussed the main problems being faced by the cadre.
The meeting was attended by a number of the members of Plus Two community from the district Udhampur and presided over by Arunesh Kumar, District President of the Forum.
The speakers expressed concern over a large number of vacancies of teaching staff including lecturers existing in the School Education Department and urged the Government to fill up the same at the earliest by DPC or direct recruitment of lecturers by the PSC.
The speakers also discussed the issue of the benefit of running pattern in favour of Plus Two Cadre, incentive increments in favour of lecturers having Ph D, M Phil and those having passed NET/SLET, disparity in the pay scale of lecturers in Physical Education, recruitment of Lecturers in Physical Education under Direct quota through PSC, restoration of 40 percent promotional quota, issuance of formal orders of regularization of all In-charge incumbents in the School Education Department and giving non-vocational status to the Principals of 10+2 schools.
They also criticized the BOSE for its failure to hold Board exams in time. They demanded that the BOSE should prepare a calendar of exams at the start of the session and adhere to it strictly.
The representatives from Jammu, including Pardeep Singh, Anil Kumar Sharma and Sanjeev Verma also took part in the meeting.
Speaking on the occasion, Arunesh Kumar urged the State Govt to concede the genuine and long pending demands of the Plus Two Cadre.
Prominent among those who spoke on the occasion included Ashok Sharma, Ashwani Kumar, M.M. Wani, Vijay Abrol Kamlesh Rani, Pardeep Singh Rakwal and others.
