PM announces special package of more than Rs 50,000 crores for Bihar

PATNA: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today announced a special package of more than Rs 50,000 crores for all round development of Bihar.
“I had promised amid a series of bomb blasts at a rally in Patna, to provide a special package of Rs 50,000 to Bihar if BJP was voted to power at the Centre. Now I realise if the state has to be taken to a new height the amount will not be sufficient”, Mr Modi said after launching a series of projects of Power, Railways, Petroleum, Agriculture, Science and Technology and tele-communication Ministries here.
The Prime Minister said ” I will not only fulfil the promises but will do more than what I had assured and it will be done at an appropriate time”. The Prime Minister in his 26 minutes long speech directly addressed to his criticism by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar of failing to fulfil the promises made by him during campaigning for 2014 Lok Sabha elections.
