“We were hopeful that our Prime Minister would give a befitting reply to China, but instead of this PM gave a certificate to the Chinese troops that they did not intrude into India territory,” he said in a video message to the nation while paying tributes to the Galwan valley martyrs as the Congress party observed `Shaheedon Ko Salam Divas’ today.
The senior Congress leader also sought to know why the Indian soldiers were not allowed to use weapons during the clash on intervening night of June 15-16.
“We want to ask who gave permission and how did Chinese troops enter into Indian territory and martyred our soldiers. We also want to know who asked our soldiers not to use weapons during the clash,” said Azad.
