JAMMU, Feb 17: PM Shri KV Nagrota celebrated Annual Sports Day with great zeal on the theme “Faster, Higher, Stronger together” at PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya, Nagrota here today.
More than 500 students from all the classes participated in the event. The programme was inaugurated by chief guest Sunita Dahiya, wife of Principal R K Dahiya. The programme started with guard of honour by NCC cadets and Scouts and Guides of the School followed by lighting of the lamp and Kendriya Vidyalaya flag hoisting.
Overall In-charge Amreik Singh, TGT (PHE) formally welcomed the eminent guests. The most intriguing aspect, embellishing the event was the splendid field displays such as welcome song, sack race, frog race, bag race, Zumba dance, artistic yoga performance and other races which splattered on the field, rendering the spectators speechless.
This was followed by track events including 100 meter races for both teachers and parents. The prizes were distributed among all the winners by chief guest Sunita Dahiya and Principal R.K Dahiya. The event was hosted beautifully by Ritesh Mishra and Rajeshwari Sharma and the vote of thanks was proposed by P.K Jolly, PGT (Physics).
