JAMMU, Sept 25: Hindi Sahitya Mandal Jammu, in collaboration with Government College for Women, Parade, organized an inter college poetry recitation competition at the GCW Parade auditorium.
The running trophy went to GDC Udhampur. Seventeen Government Degree Colleges of Jammu province participated in the event. The first, second and third prizes were bagged by Atul Pandey of Government Degree College Udhampur, Mriganki of GDC Paloura and Marvi Singh of GCW Parade, respectively.
The poetry recitation competition was based on the Hindi poets of Jammu & Kashmir. Prof Gitanjali Andotra, Prof Rita Jidendra and Maharaj Krishn Santoshi were in the presidium. Shaminder Sharma and Suman Paul were the judges.
Prof Kiran Bakshi presented the welcome address and threw light on the functioning of the Mandal.
Proceedings of the event were conducted by Dr Pawan Khajuria and Hansja, student of the host college .Vote of thanks was presented by Dr Chanchal Dogra.
