SRINAGAR, Aug 23: Police today arrested an employee of the hospital for alleged attempt to rape a girl who was admitted in the hospital in South Kashmir district of Anantnag.
Police said that a girl was admitted to Primary Health Centre (PHC) Chittergul in district Anantnag and she was administration intravenous fluid.
The girl alleged that Nursing Orderly (NO), Mohammad Afzal Sheikh, resident of Rampora Mattan attempted to rape her. “Due to hue and cry of the said girl, the said Nursing Orderly jumped out of the building”, police said.
Police took cognizance and registered a case (FIR number 85 under Section 376 and 511 RPC) in Police Station Acchabal and arrested the accused and are conducting investigations.
