UDHAMPUR, June 16: SP Udhampur, M L Kaith today handed over a bag carrying gold ornaments of about 25 grams and silver ornaments of about 80 grams, to its proprietor Govind Ram son of Hans Raj of Panchari, who had lost it yesterday evening at Chenani Matador Stand opposite the office of the Municipal Council Udhampur.
According to the SP, a constable of Udhampur Police, Selection, Grade Ved Parkash found this bag at Chenani Matador Stand during his routine patrolling. He immediately rushed to Police Station and informed his superiors.
During the search of bag SHO Udhampur found the ornaments along with the mobile number of its proprietor. Police established contact with the proprietor who came to police station and identified his bag. After necessary verifications, the bag along with ornaments and other items was handed over to Govind Ram.
